The game textures are trim sheets which contain various elements that can be used to texture different 3D models, such as edges, corners, details, etc. We have used trim sheets to optimise the use of textures, reducing the number of maps and materials needed, avoiding overhead and maintaining visual consistency.

We used Photoshop to create the texture maps, using them with custom unity shaders and post-processing effects to simulate the look of old games. We used Blender to apply the textures to the 3D models, using the UV mapping method and taking care of the scale, rotation and position of the textures and UV’s, so that they fit well and do not look repetitive or deformed.
