A space strategy/dating sim where you play as the emissary of a galactic federation of planets and you have to convince/seduce the leader of each planet to join your alliance.
Every planet is inhabited by different alien races (or a few repeating races), and every leader will demand different requests for them to join: resources (that are spread through the galaxy), to destroy another planet, to kick a planet out of the federation, some will only join if you compliment them, some will get offended if you do…
Not every planet will be able to join at the same time, you have to weigh which planets you value more (each planet can have a “worth”, or population indicator).
Gameplay loop: You start with X planets in the coalition and have to try to get as many planets as you can to the coalition. Travel through the galaxy and try to get the federation as big as you can. Every game you can choose which race are you, a name for the coalition, an icon, etc.
Style: Cartoon / PSX, topdown point and click(?) space exploring, with menus popping up when you get to a planet.
Technical challenges:
·Dialog system
·Requirement dependencies (one planet won’t join if another is in your alliance, one makes you destroy another, a race likes compliments, another likes X…)
·Navigation (navmesh?)
·Map zoom in/out
